The perks of being a Miss Black America contestant are limitless.Our Miss Black America District of Columbia 2015-16, Sharic Roper got to chat it up with Singer/Actress Demetria Mckinney last Sunday at Claudia's Steakhouse in Washington, D.C. Sharic placed 2nd runner up at the 2015 Miss Black America Pageant Competition in August. Sharic is a Howard University student who hails from the Bronx, NY.
Sharic attended Demetria Mckinney's Meet and Greet for her new single "Work with Me." As of now, it's anonymous when Mckinney's full album will be released. Several of her songs have been debuted so far. After the amazing turnout of her latest single "Work With Me" Demetria feels she's ready to debut her next project who will be releasing her very first six (6) song EP in 2015 under RTD Entertainment. Demetria is best known for her role as Janine Shelton-Payne on the TBS comedy sitcom Tyler Perry's House of Payne (2006-2012). She was also on The Real Housewives of Atlanta 7th season.
Additionally, Demetria is also working with Miss Black America Pageant Sponsor Mano Swartz Furs to develop her upcoming Fur Line DMK Furs. We can't wait to see more of this Fur Line by DMK for Mano Swartz Furs! Miss Black Americas Jelisa Barringer & Alexandra Morton receive their Mano Swartz Furs in December.
